GERTRUDE GRIZZLER
Gertrude
Grizzler had the grumps
With
the weather every day.
She
was always in the dumps.
If
the sun shone she would say,
"Shall
I surely melt away?
If
the rain came she would moan,
"It
will soak me to the bone."
If
the wind blew she had fits.
"I
shall just be blown to bits."
If
it went still the she would wheeze,
"If
only there were a little breeze."
"For
winter," she said, "would make you freeze."
"For
spring," she said,"would make you sneeze."
"For
summer," she said, "was far too hot;
And
autumn- saddest of the lot."
If
it were clear, then she'd complain,
"The
blue sky is so dull and plain."
If
clouds came over she would cry,
"How
grim and grey they make the sky."
Gertrude
Grizzler had the grumps
And
was always in the dumps.
