NIGHT RAIN
The rain on my
steel roof
chatters, clatters,
pours and roars,
almost thunder-
I’m glad I’m under
my
steel roof,
warm and dry.
I think that I
should shut now
first one eye
then the other.
I hear the sound
all around.
Now the sound
of sleep comes by,
falling like rain,
from dark sky.
Goodbye till morning-
bye, bye;
bye,
bye.
